Elevators and Vertical Transportation

Facility Service's Vertical Transportation division manages third party contractors who perform the maintenance, repairs and modernizations of all Student Life vertical transportation systems. The department is also responsible for educational programming specific to vertical transportation.

When to request our services

If you are attempting to report a failure or request service for elevators or escalators, please CALL (614) 292-4357 or 2-HELP when calling from a campus phone. This will connect you to Service2Facilities and a representative will be able to assist you.

Key Facts

• We currently manage 108 elevators
• All efforts have been taken to standardize our equipment whenever new elvators are built or existing units are modernized
• We utilize open market equipment during modernizations and new builds
• All elvators are inspected 2 times per year by the State of Ohio  Elevator Division
