Access & Keys

Risk and Emergency Management supports key and access requests for all facilities and departments within Student Life. We work with Facilities Operations and Development to implement key requests and maintain a comprehensive keying plan for Student Life facilities. We utilize electronic key cabinets, offline card readers and a master keying schematic to safely assign and secure keys.

Where to Request Our Services

Requests for access to keys, electronic key cabinets, buildings, or other access systems should be directed through the Student Life eKey page. Access requests should be submitted by departmental supervisors only.

  • Over 65,000 brass keys
  • Over 60,000 locks within Student Life facilities
  • Student room lock change requests; Over 600 were processed during the 2008-2009 academic school year
